*Artist Statement*
I call this artwork Autumn. The purpose of the assignment was to create a piece out of different organic and geometric shapes, emphasizing the differences and contrast between black and white, using all of the available space. I chose to do these different shapes, not only because I think that it is beautiful, but also because it looks like fall to me. There are falling leaves in different directions, the wind is blowing, and there are different tree shapes on the sides.
